Mi Shema'amin - Benny Friedman
Single

(Chorus:)

(Chorus:)

העם הזה הוא משפחה
אחד ועוד אחד זה סוד ההצלחה
עם ישראל לא יוותר
תמיד על המפה אנחנו נשאר

וזה ידוע חיים הם מתנה
הכל צפוי והרשות נתונה

(Chorus:)

אנחנו מאמינים בני מאמינים
ואין לנו על מי להישען
אלא, אלא על אבינו
אבינו שבשמים

The Promise - Chaim Fogelman
Footsteps

(Submitted by a gracious reader)

Close your eyes
And visualize
What will be when Moshiach will come

The sun will shine
All the time
Oh, that will be when Moshiach will come

The whole world will live in perfect harmony
Together as one big happy family

Guns and swords, they won’t be found
They’ll be used to plow the ground
Army planes and army tanks, you see
Oh, they’ll be part of history

No more will there be any war
No more will there be any war

(Chorus:)
And I promise you, Moshiach will come
And when he does he will take everyone
Just open your eyes what a big surprise
We’re in Jerusalem!

Walking down the street
Diamonds at your feet
See the lions living with the sheep

The world is filled with integrity
Oh, what a time and place for one to be
All the sick are healed, once Hashem’s revealed
And in a flash of an eye, all this will be real

(Chorus:)

The Chosen - Chaim Fogelman
Footsteps

(Submitted by a gracious reader)

Do you know who are the Jews?
They are the people that Hashem did chose
To love and cherish, to call His Own
Jews are people who are never alone
Jews are people who are never alone

And every single Jew
No matter what he does
No matter where he’s going
Or even where he was
Hashem loves him so
That’s just the way it is
Like moms and dads
Who love their kids
Like moms and dads
Who love their kids

So do you know who are the Jews?
They are the people that Hashem did chose
To love and cherish, to call His Own
Jews are people who are never alone
Jews are people who are never alone

Mom and dad know what’s good for you
So did Hashem give us Mitzvos to do
And each and every time a Mitzvah is done
You show the world you’re the chosen one
You show the world you’re the chosen one

So now you know who are the Jews
They are the people that Hashem did chose
To love and cherish, to call His Own
Jews are people who are never alone
Jews are people who are never alone

Mom and dad know what’s good for you
So did Hashem give us Mitzvos to do
And each and every time a Mitzvah is done
You show the world you’re the chosen one
You show the world you’re the chosen one
Let’s show the world we’re the chosen ones
Let’s show the world we’re the chosen ones

Ooh Le Le - Chaim Fogelman
Footsteps

(Submitted by a gracious reader)

Please join along
Sing my song
Moshiach is coming and it wont be long
So clap your hands
And tap your feet
Moshiach is coming, we’ll be dancing in the street

(Chorus:)
Ooh le le, ooh le lei,
Moshiach is coming and he’s coming to stay
Ooh le le, ooh le lei,
Moshiach is coming and he’s coming to stay

It’s in the air
It’s everywhere
Moshiach is coming
Let’s break out a cheer

(Chorus:)

So clap your hands
And tap your feet
When you hear the news your heart will beat

It’s everywhere
It’s on billboard signs
I read about Moshiach in the New York Times

(Chorus:)
Mexico - Chaim Fogelman
Footsteps

(Submitted by a gracious reader)

Have you heard the story about the man?
To go to Mexico was his plan
He saved all his money the entire year
So he could pay for the plane fare

But when the day for his trip finally came
He broke his leg and he missed the plane
He was sent to the hospital for the day
While his plane took off on the runway

Try as he could he failed to see
Why G-d did this to me?
All my saving and spending has been in vain
If someone could explain

Now, watching TV that very same day
The news interrupted, and began to say
“A terrible crash happened today,
A plane to Mexico was blown away.”

And as the news went on it came to light
Yes, indeed, that was his flight
He thanked Hashem right there in his bed
For saving his life by breaking his leg

(Chorus:)
Thank Hashem wherever you go
Thank Hashem because you know
Whatever He does is for the good
Thank Hashem as much as you could

Like the waves that roll upon the shore
All you see is water and nothing more
But down below you’ll explore
A whole big world on the ocean floor

So now that we all can see
The world is not the way it seems to be
When you’re feeling down and ready to fall
Remember there’s reasons for it all

(Chorus:)
Look Around - Chaim Fogelman
Footsteps

(Submitted by a gracious reader)

Look around, now what do you see?
Haven’t you wondered how it all came to be?
The stars in the sky, the moon and the sun
Haven’t you wondered where they all came from?

(Chorus:)
It all became because Hashem wanted so
People in the world, about Hashem they should know
Ten words that He spoke, that’s all that was done
From nothing at all, the world did become

Let there be light, and then there was light
He then created the darkness of night
And much more than that, Hashem must always do
He creates the world constantly and makes it brand new

(Chorus:)

Let’s make a man on earth down below
To show the world the way to live, the way the world should go
Seven commandments to the world Hashem did give
To make the world a better place for everyone to live

(Chorus:)

Happy Birthday - Chaim Fogelman
Footsteps

(Submitted by a gracious reader)

The long awaited cry
Fills the delivery room
To the nurses standing around
It’s the old, familiar tune

But to a mother, young and proud
It’s not another boy or girl
It’s a newborn Jewish child
A gift for all of the world

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday
That special child means you too
It’s your birthday

It’s that one and only day
When your luck stands so strong
Like when Rosh Hashana comes
We separate right from wrong

We look back at the passing year
On all the good things we’ve achieved
And decide from here and on
It’s only gonna be good deeds

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday
It’s Rosh Hashana for you
It’s your birthday

So the next time your birthday arrives
Thank G-d for giving you life
Learn torah a little more
And give tzedakah to the poor

Invitations for your party send
To all your family and your friends
Please come and join with me
A celebration it’s gonna be

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday
A celebration for you
It’s your birthday

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday
It’s Rosh Hashana for you
It’s your birthday

That special child means you too
It’s your birthday
How old are you now?
Happy birthday
We wish you a very happy birthday!

Hakhel - Chaim Fogelman
Footsteps

(Submitted by a gracious reader)

They packed their bags, took some stuff and got on horse and wagons
Going to the Bais Hamikdash in Yerushalyim
There they saw the king stand upon a wooden stage
As from the Torah he read, and this is what he said

(Chorus:)
“Listen, folks, what’s written here is all that I will say
Our holy Torah and the Mitzvos we must all obey.
Love Hashem and be good,” the king called out,
“To fear Hashem is what this gathering’s all about.”

Now every year, after Shmitah, again and again
When the king would read, it would be, oh, as if from Hashem
Mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, all came there
In the Hakhel year, everybody came to hear

(Chorus:)

Now that we’ve got no Mikdash and we’re all alone
In every country throughout the world all the Jews do roam
Let’s not forget what they did then and do the same today
Gather all your friends, and this is what you’ll say

(Chorus:)
Do You Know - Chaim Fogelman
Footsteps

(Submitted by a gracious reader)

Do you know?
That Hashem loves you so
You are to Him so dear
You have nothing but Him to fear
And He’s found everywhere
Did you know?

Do you know?
That He made the rain and snow
He made the deer run fast
And He made the turtle slow
And He makes the rivers flow
Do you know?

(Chorus:)

Do you know that Hashem is (always) watching you
And He knows what you’ve done
And what you will do soon
And Hashem lives with you inside your room

Do you know?
That Hashem makes us grow
Tall like me
Or maybe four foot three
It’s the way that Hashem wants us to be

(Chorus:)

Do you know?
Do you know?
Did you know?
Tracht Gut - Eighth Day
8'th Day Live

(Submitted by a gracious reader)

Music, music
Music dancing
Music, she danced me away

I met a little boy with big brown eyes
He said, tracht gut vet zein gut
I met a little girl who had no hair
She said, tracht gut vet zein gut

(Chorus:)
Tracht gut vet zein gut
Tracht gut vet zein gut
Tracht gut vet zein gut to me

So if you want to come along and dance with me
Say, tracht gut vet zein gut
And if you want to come along and sing with me
Say, tracht gut vet zein gut

(Chorus:)

You're Watching Me - Michoel Pruzansky
Pruzbul

(By request)

On a line in a cafe
He awaits his turn to pay
He glances at his watch to check the time
When a stranger turns his face
Can I offer you my place
I insist you take my turn right here on line

A day that seemed like any other
He thanks a man without a name
But when he leaves he will discover
That the very place he stood is now in flames

(Chorus:)
Oh Hashem
Every step I take You guide
Everyday I know You're standing by my side
You open up my eyes when I am lost and cannot see
It's all in Your hands wherever I am
You're watching me

To the hospital he goes
With a Jew he barely knows
Who's lying in a bed weak and ill

He holds firmly to his hand
You know your wish is my command
And there's none too great that I will not fulfill

Hashem sent you to be my savior
And now my life to you I owe
And anytime you need a favor
I'm here for you be sure to let me know

(Chorus:)

To America he leaves
One day a phone call he receives
From the son of the man who saved his life

We're in town for better care
And we were hoping you'll be there
For my father when he goes under the knife

A day that seemed like any other
But once more fate had crossed the way
For as he stood beside his brother
The towers where he worked came down in flames

(Chorus:)

Oh Hashem
Every step we take you guide
Night and day
We know You're standing at our side
You open up our eyes when we are lost and cannot see
You're never too far
Wherever we are
There You will be

(By request)

By the ancient cave of Ir Chevron
You'll see a man standing all alone
As the tears stream down his face
This is my hope my request
Where our forefathers rest

For our father Avrohom, Aneinu
Bizchus Yitzchak and Yaakov, I beg of You
And in the Zchus of the Heiligeh Mamas
He pours out his soul
To our Father in Heaven

(Chorus:)
Oh my father, my dear Father
The anguish of your children knows no end
Reach out to us with Your helping hand
Oh my Father, my dear Father
How much more can Klal Yisroel take
Remember Chasdei Avos for our sake

We are your children Avrohom, Yitzchok, and Yaakov
Won't you carry our prayers to the One above
As the tears stream down his face
This is my hope my request
Where our forefathers rests

(Chorus:)

Oh my children, my dear children
I've kept every precious tear you've ever shed
You will be redeemed l'Olam Voed
Every heartfelt Tefilah
Will bring closer the Geulah

Ima Tagid Li (Candle)

(By request)

Ima please tell me, what are you asking for
When you're standing
Before the Shabbos lights
A tear slipping by, from the corner of your eye
Ima why do you cry

Your lips mumbling low
In a prayer soft and slow
Ima please tell me
What are you asking for

Yehi Rotzon Milfonecho Elokai
May they be blessed with holy light
Having strength to do what's right
Mitzvos every day
To learn and grow and pray

May they do your will Hashem
And generations after them
Each week Hashem I turn to you
For they're your children too

My child please understand
That the key is in your hand
To walk the path that's true
These tears I cry for you

 My Mother's Shabbos Candles

(By request)

Amongst the smiles, amongst the tears
Of my childhood sweet and bitter years
There’s a picture that my memory fondly frames
And through it shine two tiny flames

(Chorus:)
My mother’s Shabbos candles
Which made our home so bright
Which faithfully she lighted
With a prayer on Friday Night

And then around the table
We gathered and we heard
My father chant the Kiddush
His heart in every word

Our humble home became a mansion
In that mystic glow
Our hearts were filled with hopes and dreams
And thoughts of long ago

And yet the tragic stories
Of Israel’s darkest nights
Will never dim the glory
Of my mother’s Shabbos lights
Show Me The Way - Michoel Pruzansky
MP3

(By request)

Around the Shabbos table, his parents sit and wait,
Where’s Gavriel, why is he so late
Our boy here one day,
Like wind, he drifts away
It’s come to this and now what will he say?

Came home before dawn, tired from the night
His parents pained and grudgingly they say
“Our son we love you so,
Live life with us at home,
But if you won’t then you must break away”

(Chorus:)
Show me the way, here I am stumbling in the black
Alone, Totty someday you know I’ll come back
Lead me father, be the one to light my way
show me the way, show me the way

Moved in with his buddies, money all but spent
Had to take a job to pay the rent
As time moved along
His Yiddishkeit moved on
Soon he was a shadow, known as Jay

The friends met in the morning, Let’s go party have a blast
Live today as if it were our last
His dad then appeared
A Tzaddik’s buried near
Come pray with me, for now forget the past

(Chorus:)

From the kever made his way, to a darkened home he came,
His cell phone rings, just stunned he hears the news
“Your friends Mark and Ray, in an accident today,
They both are gone, so thankful you’re okay”

Came a knock upon the door,
Mommy stands in shock and awe
In tears, Gavriel told her what went on
Mom and Dad I’ve hurt you so, I’m so sorry, his tears flow
Embracing him they cried out “Welcome home”

(Chorus:)

Then came the day, beside his bride Gavriel dressed in black
As one, Choson and his Kallah smiling back
Raised his eyes and whispered, “Father on this day,
You showed me the way. You showed me the way.

Kama Tov Shenifgashnu - Avraham Fried

אם עד לפני שעה קלה היינו רחוקים
עכשיו יש הקלה גדולה בוכים וצוחקים
כי זה חיבור של נשמות זה קשר אמיתי
ותחושות טובות חמות מלוות אותי

(Chorus:)

(Chorus:)

רגע לפני שנפרדים אוספים את השירים
לזמן שעוד יביא לכאן ימים מאושרים
יום חדש עלינו ויאיר שמיים בהירים
וביחד עוד נשיר את כל השירים

(Chorus:)

Did you ever see an angel cry
For a misplaced soul
And you kept on walking by
No time 'cause you had to go
Now pretend the soul is you
Thousands of miles away
'Cause you made a mistake

Where's your angel you fear
That you're on your own
And can anybody hear
When you pray alone
Yes we felt your every prayer
And we're not letting go
'Cause we're bringing you home
Kol Yisroel
Kol Yisroel
Your brothers would do the very same for you
The mercy, the beauty, the kindness of a Jew

Kol Yisroel
Klal Yisroel
We mustn't sit
And let this one slip by
While our brothers our flesh our own they wait and cry
טאטע טאטע

כלל ישראל'ס הענט זענען אויסגעשטרעקט
אז דיינע ווינדער זאלן ווערן ערוועקט

Give us strength to pass the test
Cross the bridge from

Can you detect the signs of change
In the air and sound
Wherever you are
We'll always be around

Take The Time - Mordechai Ben David
The English Collection

(By request)

Listen and you'll learn my son
For you the world has just begun
Still before you know it
You may turn around and see
That life has passed you by

Hear and heed the things I say
Think about them every day
Make of every minute
What you see when you begin it
Or it passes by

Make the time for things that count
Cherish the friends that you find
Think three times, before you shout
Always remember to be kind

Listen close when children speak
Treasure the things theat they know
The toys and tears of younger years
Carry their wisdom when they go

Buddy, can you spare a dime
Sorry, but I ain't got time
Daddy can we study please
I'm sorry son but don't you see, I can't today

Little things that come and go
Slip away before we know
The handles on the clock advance
And we who beg for second chances must obey

Take the time to do things right
Always believe what you say
Ask yourself each morning and night
Who am I closer with today
Speak to Hashem with an open heart
There isn't a shoulder so wide
There's never been a better time to start
And nothing more foolish than your pride

Listen and you'll learn my son
For you the world has just begun
Still before you know it
You may turn around and see
That life has passed you by

Every moment is so dear
And time just doesn't stop to care
Swiftly as a shadow
In a moment as we turn around
It passes by..

So,Take the time to do things right
Always believe what you say
Ask yourself each morning and night
Who am I closer with today
Speak to Hashem with an open heart
There isn't a shoulder so wide
There's never been a better time to start
And nothing more foolish than your pride

The English Collection

(By request)

Do you stop and wonder
What’s going on
Cab you remember happy days
Where have they gone

Life goes so fast
Nothing seems to last
People feel the squeeze is on
It’s really a shame.

Can you hear the thunder
Do you feel the pain
So many tragedies, disasters
So insane

There seems to be no end
To this terrifying trend
And everyone you talk to
Feels the same.

(Chorus:)
But many happy days are coming now
So won't you please listen to me
We’ll all be singing, dancing, laughing
Everybody just you wait and see
Miracles amazing wonders
Like no one’s ever seen before
It’s finally that magic moment
We have all been waiting for.

All the senseless hating
Who knows why
When there is so much good to see
Shouldn’t we try

And rather than reject
Just admire and respect
Must we feel like strangers
When we really are one.

It’s so irritating
Like a thorny rose
A generation all confused
Where everything goes
Where right and wrong’s the same
Even sin has lost it’s shame
Perhaps the final chapter’s just begun.

(Chorus:)

Ther’s no denying
That the feeling’s low
You feel the preasure
Got the blues

What do you know
We seek a helping hand
It’s so hard to understand
How life can turn so vicious
So absurd and unfair.

We saw millions dying
We were left to cry
While all the nations of the world
Just turned an eye
Despite the raging tears
We have suffered all these years
Never we’ll surrender to despair.

(Chorus:)
Unity - Mordechai Ben David
The English Collection

(By request)

Like angels in the sky
In a garden full of glory
The galaxy so brilliantly related
Ultimately high
On that first page of our story
‘Till the time our parents were created

Envious brother Cain
Threw a blow so mad and chilling
Tragically he never did recover
It’s really so insane
All our selfishness, that’s killing
That stranger who’s our sister and our brother

(Chorus:)
So listen brother, listen friend
Just a little smile, a helping hand
And we all will find a loving kind humanity
We must teach our children to
Treat your fellow friends like they were you
And then we all will find some peace of mind and unity

Ages rushing by
Writing chapters full of sorrow
Webs of self destruction, we are weaving
Because if we don’t even try
There’s no hope for our tomorrow
So what’s it all worth if we are not achieving?

(Chorus:)

One thing makes me smile
Now at last a happy ending
A global union anxiously excited
In just a little while
We will join the angels singing
In harmony eternally united.

(Chorus:)
Lonely People - Mordechai Ben David
The English Collection

(By request)

As I walk in the heat, of the big city streets
I get sad when I see lonely people
And although the sun shines, they prefer to be blind
It's so sad when you see lonely people.

The answer to a lonely prayer, anytime anywhere,
To change the direction of life,
Together we can face the fight, help each other get it right,
Believe and you'll always get by

So don't you cry
You'll find the answer there,
So don't be shy, Give it a try,
Stand up and say a prayer.

(Chorus:)
There will be no more lonely people,
Never again
Do the best thing for you, oh yeah!
There will be no more lonely people,
Say it again
You only have to say the word and G-d is there to be your friend.

When the world is going wrong, There is nowhere to belong,
I feel sad when I see lonely people,
There is no hope up ahead, there is no roof, there is no bed,
It's so sad when you see lonely people,

All we have to do is pray, remember each and every day
The reason why we are alive
He's always there, our dearest friend, he’ll be there till the very end
From him we can learn to survive

So don't you cry,
You'll find the answer there.
So don't be shy, give it a try
Stand up and say a prayer.

(Chorus:)
It's Shabbos Now - Chasing Prophecy
Eighth Day

Through the oceans and the rivers
Through every single door.
No matter what the soldiers said
Or how the rain would pour.

Zaidy always kept that smile
And wiped our tears away
Nothing could ever bring him down
When he'd start to say

(Chorus:)
It's shabbos now...
And we'll sing....
(Mah yedidus menuchosaich, Shabbos hamalkah)
(Ma'ain olam habboh, yom Shabbos menucha, kol hamisangim boh yizku l'rosh simcha)
(Pedusainu satzmiach venosyogon va'anacha)
Fill your goblets to the top with royal kiddush wine
Invite your family and your neighbors, its now your time.

Up winding stairs and broken dreams
Papa tries to sell a little more
A penny here a penny there
Mama cries in clothes she tore.

Zaidy always kept that smile
And wiped her tears away
Soon things will turn around
Soon we're gonna say.

(Chorus:)

On a palm beach isle not far from here
They gathered to celebrate
Eighty years a life of courage
Through times of senseless hate

Zaidy always kept his smile
And wiped our tears away
He promised us there will come a time
When we'll always say

(Chorus:)
Yiddishe Mamma - Chasing Prophecy
Eighth Day

So holy, so pure.
Lucky is the mom that had you
Lucky is the dad that raised you
Lucky is the school that schooled you

So holy, so pure.
Evil knocked and the lights went out
The whole world cried when they heard you shout
Like never before.

All the angels and the dreaming men
Rushed to the scene just to hold your hand
Saying what's going on
Hey what's going on.

(Chorus:)
Yiddishe mamma don't you cry
Yiddishe mamma in the sky
Yiddishe mamma a lullaby
Yiddishe mamma of Mumbai
Yiddishe mamma we'll live for you
Yiddishe mamma we'll do what you do
Yiddishe mamma it's coming true
Yiddishe mamma we'll see it through.

So holy so pure.
Lucky is the world that knew you
Lucky are the songs that sang you
Lucky are the Souls that greet you

So holy so pure.
Midnight came and our hearts fell out
The world cried when they heard you shout
But you were never alone

G-d was watching and said right then
You'll be back soon
Yeah back again
Like never before.

(Chorus:)
Play our Music - Chasing Prophecy
Eighth Day

The whole world around me is burning
And our tears have reached the sky
Wild pirates rule the ocean
But your music keeps me right.

The whole world around me is crumbling
Every river has run dry
Black eyed darkness tries to haunt me
But your rhythm keeps me right.

So please play your music, play it nice and strong
Please play your music, the world has waited way too long
Please play your music, play it night and day
Please play your music play it right away.

The whole world is no longer burning
Sweet children’s voices slow the flames
They’re the future and they are shaking
To your rhythms refrain.

Please play your music that you promised me
Please play your music of our destiny
Please play your music set your people free
Please play your music play it finally.
Beggar Woman - Chasing Prophecy
Eighth Day

Today, she was sitting on the street
Sorrow in her eyes, a tin can at her feet
Holes in her stockings and holes in her shoes
She’s an old beggar woman no stranger to bad news

So I reached in my pocket to give a bill or two
In my heart I was trying to see what I could do
She thanked me for the money, I turned to walk away
But I waited for a moment as she began to say

(Chorus:)
G-d loves the widow and the orphan and the blind
The old and the needy who haven’t got a dime
G-d loves the sickly in his eyes we’re all the same
And G-d he loves you too in the sunshine and the rain. (You just call upon His name)

I don’t know where she came from, don’t know her at all
But the wrinkles on her face, they kinda tell it all
So reach in your pocket and give a bill or two
And you can thank G-d in Heaven that the beggar isn’t you.

Yiddish Country - Chasing Prophecy
Eighth Day

A pile of bills, old cheap thrills
Working late night at the old stone mill
These cars and lies, French and fries
What do you see if you close your eyes?

New boots on the floor, sign on the door
Don’t want to see you come around no more
You got your gold neck ties, sweet pumpkin pies
What do you see on rodeo drive?

If there’s a who, there’s a why
There’s a we, there’s a way
I call that raison d’être

If there’s a who, there’s a why
There’s a we, there’s a way
I can hear the sages say

If there’s a who, there’s a why
There’s a we, there’s a way
Make it happen all today

If there’s a who, there’s a why
There’s a we, there’s a way
A little bit is still okay

(Chorus:)
Di vos villen heren, heren
Di vos villen zen, zen
Di vos kenen kenen, kenen
Men darf nor vissen ver un ven

8th Day - Eighth Day
Chasing Prophecy

I'm in no rush, I'm in no hurry
Sitting with you here, what’s to worry.
Soon you’ll be you, and we’ll be we
Living life like it was meant to be.

On that day, your name will be one
Every darkness we’ll have overcome
crying prophets will start having fun
on that day I won’t be on the run.

(Chorus:)
8th day.
When the sun won’t set, you’ll know that he’s come
When this song won’t end, you’ll know that he’s come
When we’re all on a mountain up in his home
Reaping all the fruits that we have sown
From LA to Chicago up in Meron
From LA to Chicago we will all be your own.

I’m in no rush, I’m in no hurry
Sitting with you here, what’s to worry.
Soon you’ll be you, and we’ll be we
Making sense out of our history

Chasing Prophecy - Eighth Day
Chasing Prophecy

Singing singing
Dreaming dreaming
What’s that you said about under achieving

Singing singing
Dreaming dreaming
Sometimes it’s you that needs some believing.

Walk it down to the milk and honey, don’t slow down till you start making money.
Walk it down past the nitty gritty, don’t slow down till you rebuild your city.

(Chorus:)
Chasing your prophecy, chase chase.

Al tomar le'che'she'efne, shemo lo tipone

Grab it down the white clouds of glory, don’t slow down till the end of the story.
Grab it down and don’t have no pity, don’t slow down till you see your holy city.
Tatenyu - Eighth Day
Chasing Prophecy

Jack grew up in New York City, on the plaza with a view
His parents were screaming Harvard, but he was just looking for You.
He came by for a Shabbos, we stayed up way past two
We spoke about a life of meaning, because he was just looking for You.

(Chorus:)
Men zuch nisht Dine Olam Haboh
Men zucht nisht Dine Gan Eden
Men vil nisht chapen Diner Melochim
Men zuch nohr Dich alein
We’re not looking for your Heaven’s doors
Not looking for your mirrored walls
Not looking to pull any strings
We’re just looking for you.
Tatenyu.

Jack's now Yakov Halevi, and our friendship really grew
He’s got a nice place in the old city, where he’s just looking for you.
Still a big fan of the Yankees, and a Harvard alumni too
But his grand-kids are keeping shabbos and singing this song about you.
Smile - Eighth Day
Chasing Prophecy

We’ve been to the east to the north to the south, and now we own the west
We tell your tales, and we sing your scales and we try to do our best.
There is nothing wrong and we’ve beat king kong and we’re waiting at your door.
What can we do that we haven’t done before?
What can we do to put a smile on your face.

With our buttons shined and our boots looking fine
We’re waiting for your call.
From the Temple times, to these hopeless rhythms you still want something more
With your eye on the ball, they say you can’t fall
If you're laying on the ground, so what can we do to turn it around.

What can we do to put a smile on your face.

Kalu Kalu, Kvar Kalu Kol hakitzim
Avraham - Eighth Day
Chasing Prophecy

Sitting in the hot dessert sun, you’ve been told you’d be on the run
Down to egypt to pharaoh’s town, to Rome and Spain and many other lands
But you opened your doors to tired men, to lonely passersby and angels from heaven
Your kindness and your care were known far and wide, father of a nation your soul is alive.

(Chorus:)
Avraham are we the children that you dreamed of?
Are we the shining stars you saw at night?
You know its true, we still call you avinu
Our father our pride we’ve got your soul inside, take us home.

You’ve been through every test, now look a small shul in the mid west
A child was born just the other day, and all those gathered there heard his mother say
Although its been three thousand years, and we’ve been fighting back all the tears
One man’s lullaby a nation will survive, father of our people your dream is alive.

(Chorus:)

Your courage and your might, kept the pharaohs up at night
No hand could hold you, no stranger would forget you.

Avraham yes we’re the children that you dreamed of
And we’re the shining stars you saw at night
You know its true, it’s why we call you avinu
Our father our pride we’ve got your soul inside, take us home.
Emosai - Eighth Day
Chasing Prophecy

Emosai ko'osi mar, ko'osi mar lich'she'yafutzu

Wherever we go, people want to know
Whose words are we preaching, whose story we teaching.
Whatever the show, people want to know
How to inspire, with holy desire
Where ever we go, people want to know
Whose hopes are we reaching, whose dream are we dreaming.
Whatever the show, people want to know
How to inspire, to take us all higher.

So we tell them, the holy ba’al shem (der heiliger ba'al shem)
So we tell them, there is only One in heaven.
So we tell them, you have a holy heart
So we tell them, he knew it from the start

Mama Rochel - Abie Rotenberg/Yaakov Shwekey
Journeys Volume 3

With the rising sun, on her wedding day,
She raised her eyes to the Heavens,
And she thanked Hashem, for the man of truth
With whom she would build a nation.

But with nightfall came, Destiny betrayed,
The veil concealing another.
Yet her sisters shame, not her shattered dreams,
Took hold of her heart and her senses.

(Chorus:)
Mama Rochel,
cry for us again,
Won’t you shed a tear for your dear children?
If you raise your sweet voice now as then the day will come

Mama Rochel, cry for us again,
Won’t you shed a tear for your dear children?
Bi’zchutaich v'shavu vonim lig’vulom
In a roadside grave she was laid to rest
In solitude, forever
But her voice gave hope to the broken hearts
Of her daughters and sons bound for exile
When her plaintive cry gained divine consent
A challenge to her Maker
Can the mercy of, mere flesh and blood
Run deeper than Yours, our Creator?
(Chorus:)

Now your voice is still, as you heed the call
Of m’mi kolaich mi’bechi
It’s our Father’s will, He who made us all
Dare we ask of you to defy Him?
Yet a frightened child, numb from pain and grief
Remains forlorn and uncertain
Clinging to the faith that it can be heard
As it cries out to its mother
Mama Mama vain noch amol
Treren zoltz du gissen un a tzohl
Beten fun Bashefer In Himmel, b’kol rom
Mama Mama vain noch amol
Tzeren zoltz du gissen un a tzohl
Bi’zchuseich v’shavu vonim li’gvulom
Rochel Imeinu s’ee kolaich
Shuv shifchi kamayim dimataich
B’chim nah al banim asher galu v’al sivlam
Rochel Imeinu s’ee kolaich
Shuv shifchi dimah lifnei Konaich

Bi’zchuseich v’shavu vonim li’gvulom
Mama Rochel cry for us again
Won’t you shed a tear for your dear children?
If you raise your sweet voice now as then the day will come
Mama Mama cry for us again
Won’t you shed a tear for your dear children?
