Shalom,
Be blessed for posting this; and glad I've found it.
i think the chorus is:
why is it name Moriah? because of the good mor that is there.
english is not my natural language, sorry if its bad
The English and Yiddish do not in any way reflect the chorus, rather, they are a translation of the first part of the song.
BTW, your translation is not bad, I would change the word "name" to "called" (why is it "called" Moriah...)
SHALOM:
CAN YOU TELL ME THE ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF THE CHORUS?.......PLEASE I WAIT A ANSWER!!!
Chorus translation:
Why is it [mountain] called "Moriah"?
It is so named because of the myrrh (spice/incense) that grows [was brought up in the Temple era] thereupon
מי שענה
לאברהם אבינו
בהר המוריה
הוא יענה אתכם
וישמע קול צעקתכם
ביום הזה
למה למה -מה נקרא מוריה
על שם המר הטוב
על שם המר הטוב
שישנה שם
Nice song
What is the chorus saying?
