Sukkah's Falling - Rogers Park
The Maggid
I've just seen a face,
With all its beard hairs in its place,
A kind rabbi comes right up to me,
Says, “A Synagogue is where a Jew should be”.
Oy vey vey La-di-da
Chicken soup each Friday night,
The Matzah Balls oh what a sight,
now its time we head outside,
Sukkos time we eat it in a hut.
Oy vey vey La-di-da
Fallin' the Sukkah's falling
But the Rabbis calling me back again (2)
S'chach bamboo right in my soup,
While I'm waiting for my cholent stew,
It's cold out here, I'll persevere,
My indoor meals are never quite like this.
Oy vey vey La-di-da
Fallin' the Sukkah's falling
But the Rabbis calling me back again (2)
See, I've learned a few old things,
No matter what the weather brings,
The Sukkah's just the place for me,
There's nowhere else I'd rather be tonight.
Oy vey vey La-di-da
Fallin' the Sukkah's falling
But the Rabbis calling me back again (6)
